Intrigued......30 minutes in and I was eager to continue watching only to try and figure out what on earth it was all about. Princess Nausicca is the main character with a nifty skill in calming the multiple-eyed giant bugs. Her valley is threatened by another leader who wishes to take control of some dormant warrior god that looks a bit like spilled organs. This is where it gets a little exciting but also sheds its plot. Perhaps it was the fact that I watched segments of it throughout the day and (no surprise to anyone) even took a nap half way through. However, I genuinely wanted to uncover the outcome of the somewhat blurry plot.
I am still fathoming as to whether there is some moral to the story, perhaps environmental? or that fighting solves no problem but sacrifice does? I'm not sure it's worth looking that deeply into. Entertaining non the less and I must say I found it fascinating that when no other image was animated, they were able to make the mustaches and beards wiggle to suggest speech. Marvelous.
